And here you go again looking to a COMMUNIST NATION to quantify your opinion...
I don't here you complaining about China and how they ROUTINELY use their military to enforce their rule or how Russia used its military to invade another sovereign nation OR how Finland, Canada, The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, or Norway (Socialist nations, in case you didn't know. What am I thinking? Of course you didn't know) have it better than we do in the States.
No, you want to once again look to a COMMUNIST NATION (I keep putting it in caps because apparently that fact you keep overlooking) to quantify your opinion just because they voted in a conservative government and a nation that routinely the US criminals.
Tell you what, I'll keep an eye on Venezuela for two years and we'll see if your hypothesis bears any fruit.
Oh, keep in mind that Venezuela is about twice the size of California so we'll see how it pans out ( I mention this because Conservatives mention the size of nations to quantify why socialism won't work in the US).

I am so impressed with your list of credentials...20 years military with 12 years special ops ...wow I am really at a disadvantage with only 4 years in....wait I dont see anything in that impressive list of credentials that says your trained in political philosophy...or anything saying your an expert on what determines if a nation is a socialist nation...or anything at all that says you did anything other than play loud rock music and drop fliers from a plane. Sorry not impressed at all. Thank you for the years of service though. SO JUNIOR....the reason I chose the article i posted was because it is exactly correct in bringing to your attention that alot of people like you...with little understanding...can call this a socialist country and that but really dont know what they are talking about. See an important thing that you apparently dont understand is that bringing coffee to a person who inturn brings coffee to a person who actually has understanding does not magically grant you with understanding. Alot of liberals suffer from this problem, they think that being in a classroom with a smart person or barely passing a class taught by an intelligent professor somehow makes you smart and somehow grants you understanding. Its very obvious you dont have any understanding of the political philosophy of Marxism and what a socialist society really is. I could teach you but I think you should pay me the going rate because you would be a special case. A student who comes to class to learn is easier to teach than a student who comes to class thinking they already know and they want to simply disrupt the teaching process. You have no expertise in the area of political philosophy and no basic understanding of it. You simply watched soemthing on MNSBC and said ' dam now i know' but you dont.
So read up on Venezuela and see how a true socialist nation operates. Better yet read up on North Korea...thats the inevitable end goal of a true socialist nation. ' the goal of socialsim is communism' LENIN. ( you know who Lenin was dont you?)
Do you know who Marx was? He had alot of good ideas but the problem with marxs was he was not atheist enough to accept that there is no reason to try and form a socialist society if in the end all humanity is nothing more than a randomly evolved accident. Live and let live, Politics is for those who believe in something more. A philosophically consistent atheist is not concerned with government or politics or much of anything at all. The consistent atheist simply enjoys life and rolls another joint. Marx failed at being consistent. But he had alot of undertsanding. In the end if, as the atheist claims, its all just chemicals...even your sense of communisty is nothing more than chemical reactions taking place in your body similar to me digesting this Chipotle barrito. Nothing more.

Marx was a smart man who lived a horrible life and in his misery he failed in his atheism and began to believe in the idea of social justice. The problem with his fall is that in a world that doesnt beleive in a God, there is no such concept as Justice. Social or otherwise. In the end his attempts at social justice ended up being used by Lenin, Stalin, and Mao to murder 100 million of their own citizens. They didnt allow these people to simply leave..they murdered them. This core humanist philosophy is alive today in soclalism. It is being taught by humanist professors and championed by the media and our democratic politicians. It is the same humanist philosophy Lenin, Stalin and Mao used as justificiation for genocide. Have you forgotten? Or did you not know? Or is it ok to you. Is it acceptable to murder your fellow citizens because they dont accept your political beliefs? It is acceptable to the humanist philosophy which is the exact same philosophy behind the modern day socialist movement.
