Well COL Mikel J. Burroughs, my physical heart is slightly enlarged per cardiology. That is never a good thing.
I currently live near Washington, DC. This week I was able to pay off my wife's medical debt from an emergency room visit in 2015. Now that I am retired from the Army, each month I am working on paying off the debt which we have carried since 2014.
The Lord knows our needs an HE knows how much we can bear. Later this year I plan on completing my 2015 income tax. Once that is processed I will file our 2016 income tax.
I never expected to be in this situation. However, I have learned to follow God's lead.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - My wife confirmed that she has no more medical debt. I certainly have no medical debt since the VA has covered me since 2013 and we are using military facilities for our medical care now.
To be honest, since I can pay her debt, I would prefer to pay it. That way those who are in dire straits could use the website link to pay off their debt.
I had considered contacting AER to help pay other non-medical debt since I contributed from 1974 to 1992. I don't feel led by the Lord to ask AER at this point. He has been guiding me each day.

SFC Dave Beran You don't have to be retired my friend, just willing to put in a little extra time. Please check into the details with us before you say "No!" Thanks Dave!

Some rewards are worth the committment. You have me "quivering" on this one.
[PS: I never noticed how easy it was to transform "RP" into "RIP". I hope that's a typo]

CPT Jack Durish - Actually the program is working very well and we've been able to relieve a lot of medical debt already (completely abolished) and more to come Jack. We also remove the collection items from their Credit Report as part of the process helping out their credit score. We can do this, because we are buying their debt and writing it off. What a great program for our veterans and service members. Now we are helping regular civilians as well get out from under their healthcare debt. By the way I work for them now, so give some love partner on the name! LOL!
