Veteran suicides rose in 2021 despite increased prevention efforts

Well, the major institutions of this country have told us we are tools of 'white supremacy', imperialism, and colonialism.

The VA's help line has hung up on those seeking assistance. The VA is a hindrance at times.

Gun ownership is not the issue. It's a tool. Just as medications, rope, and garden hoses are too. Many of us barely seek help for medical things. It's no surprise we (vets) aren't seeking assistance when we have self destructive thoughts. I wish that weren't the case but it is.

I have sat with a rifle in my mouth wanting to end, what I thought at the time was my misery back in early 1993. Fortunately my inner survival voice won and I'm still thankful I heard through all the pain I was going through at the time.
