No. No, no, no.

Trump didn't make a "donation" to veterans for watching his event instead of the GOP debates last night. He made a purchase. He bought viewers with money and with his use of that magical word: "Veterans." This was not a donation. This was a business transaction.

I have a mental image of him in the Oval Office telling the Joint Chiefs to "bomb the s*** out of ISIS," and when their strategy isn't "bomb-y" enough, he'll reply with "you're fired." I don't trust a business tycoon as my next Commander in Chief.

From the start he disrespected veterans ! POW's are not heroes because they were captured ! So the ones that died in captivity must have been disliked even more . He dodged the draft when his country needed him with his deferments ! So no he does not relate to me as a veteran .

How does Trump relate to us? I cannot relate to any draft dodger. I cannot relate to my father giving me millions to make a name for myself. I have not been married three times. I'm a blue/white collar worker. I served IN the ACTUAL military, got trained by REAL DS, and NCO's over the years. Never been to a military prep school, then claimed he knows more than me. I'm a saved man. I believe in Jesus and God. I might act ignorant, but that won't change. The bible isn't a book I lean on to get folks to see my way or to pander to. Looking for a way that Trump can relate to me. I think I know one but it's a stretch: I'm an a**hole of the highest order. I care too much about certain things and people to the point where what I feel comes off as "holier than thou". I care about others success and the words I use aren't always the best choices to motivate them. My ego is as big if not bigger than the 1st CAV patch. But I only want the best for folks. Trump is an a**hole of the highest order also, but he is everything I refuse to be. If it doesn't benefit him, he won't do it. If you don't "owe" him afterwards he won't do it. Everything he does is calculated on how it will benefit HIM. So being able to talk a good game is a lot different than the one who is quiet and can back up everything he didn't say and leave you KO'd on the ground. If I had to make a "Toughometer" Trump would be on faaaaarrrr left side of Vanilla Ice weak, whereas Carson would be on the faaaarrrrr right side of Ice Cube tough. It's not a racial thing, it's Carson's quietness hides what he's truly thinking. He's not a bombastic person. Say it. Mean it. Do it. Trump is Say it. Don't care if I meant it, and ensure someone ELSE does it and he gets the credit.

SFC John Lovelady - I agree with you, but the GOP not taking him on directly is making themselves look weak. The fact that the "Golden Boy" isn't even a real factor in the election talk right now is another hit. If Trump gets the nod and Hillary isn't wearing Orange or at least going through the court process, would make the White House her future home. I'm starting to like Gov. Kaeish. Don't know why, and he won't get my vote, but I am starting to warm up to him as a candidate. I feel the same about O'Malley. But I'm holding out until I see Uncle Joe throw it in there. I think he's not running now because he really does have family issues, but he's also waiting to see what happens to Hillary. If the FBI brings charges on her, she "should" drop out. And when she does, Joe's gonna slide on in with that big cheeser smile of his and lay the smacketh downeth on some rooty poo candy asses. The "People's Elbow" will be landing square on Trumps neck. (Yes I know folks....bad Rock impersonation)
