I think everybody deserves affordable education SGT (Join to see). All education costs something. Governments subsidize some education and jack up the prices for others - happens in Sate schools across the country every year.
If education were actually tied to employability or even follow-on usefulness it would be great to see,

I would like to go back to school, but for me, with the cost of living in the DC area, I can't afford it. I make too much to qualify for financial aid and frankly many govt agencies are no longer offering tuition assistance. I don't want the added debt of another loan. So I'm trying to get whatever training and certifications I can through my job.

Sgt Gus Laskaris - Sgt. with all due respect, I'm not making excuses It's an actual fact. Anyone that knows me, knows I make things happen for myself. For me, with my job, I can't just pick up and move elsewhere. I live on a strict budget and within my means, and for me, that is not taking on additional debt that I know I can't currently handle. That means for right now, I'm not able to complete my education, that doesn't mean by any stretch of the imagination that I'm giving up. I'm merely working on another course to get to my goal.

Web designers aren't in high demand? Web designers outside the government don't get paid well and can be replaced easily?? Since when, Sgt Gus Laskaris ?? It's all dependent on the industry and location, and since you didn't know either piece of information about PV2 (Join to see) , you r pronouncement is just so much hot air.

College keeps getting more expensive because the government is backing the loans so the banks and schools hand out the money easier, which in turn the college says we are going to charge more since money is easier. I saw the perfect cartoon once with the secretary yelling into the college deans office that the government will back higher loans and than he yells back "Raise the tuition".

SGT (Join to see) - You bet. One of the reasons I laugh when they say they want to tax a company. Are they so stupid to not think the company is just going to pass down the tax to the consumer. They will not let something effect their bottom line.

A1C (Join to see), isn't that how the games played? They know, even if the price is jacked up because of taxes, people will buy and they will make a profit. Look at how high gas got before the wells started shutting down. If it's a must have product, the sky's the limit.

SGT (Join to see) - It is just like minimum wage. If you raise the wage of the worker than the company raises the cost of the product and the worker ends up paying more for milk, eggs, etc. All you get is inflation.
