There have been a number of debates during which questions about veterans have been asked. I don't know why there is an expectation that every debate must focus on veteran's issues.
If veterans want to lash out perhaps they should lash out at the administration that has been running the VA for 7+ years now with little or no progress only empty promises. The VA secretary is a cabinet level position. He should be able to get all of the access he need to the President.
