Veterans Stole over $150K from Air Force Base’s Sports Program in Florida, Feds Say

Not the first time for this type of thing unfortunately. Jail is probably being too kind.

I was lucky enough to play Lacrosse at Wright-Patterson AFB for a Fall and Spring season before PCSing to the UK. It was a mix of civilian personnel and Air Force personnel. Even got to play in Cincinnati and Chicago tournaments.

That totally sucks. I played 3rd base for the US Army softball team in 1973. Tryouts were at Ft Carson where I got to meet Gen Hamlet. I played next to LaRue Washington who ended up playing in the Major Leagues. Man he was good. That program got me home as I had been deployed to Japan. People are surprised that the military has these various sports programs. They were of great value to me.
