RP Members and Connections BIKE22 hits Las Vegas, NV in 115-degree weather. Here is a clip of the bicyclist coming across the finish line after 22 Miles in the heat for a great cause.
Victory for Veterans Foundation is looking for a Lead Volunteer Coordinator(s) for the cities coming up on our journey. Steve Durgin, CEO & Founder is currently doing this as he drives in advance to each city but needs some immediate help to really make a difference in the BIKK22 efforts to help reduce the 22 Suicides per day that are veterans are experiencing.
The Lead Volunteer Coordinator(s) will coordinate with Walmart volunteers, cycling volunteers, Media personnel and Steve to help make the city site(s) work easier.

I hope that we have several great individuals here on RallyPoint that can work the phones and work out of the house that will step up to the plate for this great initative.

This group should coordinate with Team Red White and Blue. We see too many Vet Organizations going off in different directions. When Vets were united with AM Legion, they could have the backing of 2.2 million voters...that got the attention of Congress. We have to be united, and I bet these could become projects of the Am Legion or VFW.

I've be trying to reach someone at the American Legion National Headquarters to coordinate this event and the RIDE22 Event that will encompass motorcycle riders (like the American Legion Riders) in every state. Your help is appreciated Jim!

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Sorry, the best bet would be to look at Department (State) level for the areas needed. My post is in Shanghai, China. We are the only post in Exile since 1948...then the commies took over. :) Most of my post members live overseas. Lots of MI and SF members. Fun group, we have a Legion Riders, but they ride with other post around the world. (FYI, there are two new Am Legion Post in Korea!)
