COL Mikel J. Burroughs great post, my favorite Vietnam Hero. I have the book and have studied him for over 20 years. Awesome story of bravery and courage under fire by the enemy.

MSGT Raul Perez Benavidez took selfless dedication to a whole new level. His MOH was well deserved - even if much belated for reasons impossible to understand.

I am not surprised that he not only carried on but persevered so many times through life threatening circumstances.
