I have friends who never saw liberty, but that was because they were in the brig.

PFC Nicholas Efstathiou OMG! That Would Suck Horribly. I Only Got One Night in the Brig. Coming back from Desert Storm. It was the Only Room in the Inn so to speak.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Lol, no one of my friend's was an absolute nightmare aboard his ship, but his job required a specific rank. Captain would bust him down when they reached port, put him in the brig, and then reinstate him when liberty was over.
