There have been many powerful testimonies by people who walked away from the Democratic Party. I did, but I did it long ago when the pain wasn't so intense. Those who have hung on until now seem to be feeling it far worse. It's like excising a cancer. Get it out while it's still small...

I did it in the early 80's, when "The Gipper" decided that Military pay should be competitive with the civilian market, to maintain experienced troops.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - My father was a liberal, my mother was not. I became a liberal because of my father's views and continued that way for many years... I was a John F. Kennedy Liberal, but not so much after... When I reached my 40th birthday, I had doubts and those doubts strengthened as the months and years passed. At some point in my 40's, I said to myself, no longer! I became an unenrolled "Independent"... and as time moved on through my 50's and 60's, I leaned further and further right until I became an "Independent Conservative"...and that will never change from here on out! Donald J. Trump was never considered by the left to be a racist until He became President... Just think about that for a minute or three! The left has become more and more radical and hate filled, & in my view, no longer represents what our forefathers created some 243 years ago. I won't go back to to anything Liberal...

The Liberals loved Donald when he was a registered Democrat and gave lots of money to their party. Now not so much.
