CPT (Join to see), Nice article. It is often difficult (in a large organization) to put yourself in a leadership position.
Are there specific actions you would recommend?

SPC Donald Moore A valid point. I would encourage you to look for opportunities that may manifest in nontraditional ways. There is always someone out there who can benefit from your experiences. Leadership can start with one person.

Being a Leader and being in a Leadership position, in my opinion, is too different things. You still can have a lasting positive impact on your peers, even possibly your leadership, by the way you act and conduct yourself on a daily basis.
