I thought the flying Crane was big. This make the Crane look like a wannabe. LOL

The CH-53E Super Stallion is powerful enough to carry a 26,000-pound Light Armored Vehicle, 16 tons of cargo 50 miles and back, or enough combat-loaded U.S. Marines to lead an assault or humanitarian operation. The heavy-lift helicopter of the U.S. Marine Corps, the Super Stallion can lift every aircraft in the Marine inventory except the KC-130, although it’s compact is enough to deploy on amphibious assault ships.

great piece... but the CH-53 and CH-54 are almost the same thing... the 54 was designed as a Heavy lift vehicle and the 53 was a long distance Troop and equipment Transport...

I love the 53's they flew our bridge mission equipment to support us in Iraq during combat for the invasion 2003. We used them for CA/HA mission down in seven South / Central America countries 2008 also flew on some in Pakistan and Afghanistan. We had a Colombian Officer flying out to meet the commodore and he was in in his whites, well there is a saying for 53 if it ain't bleeding it ain't flying. They leak trains fluid all the time, but that is how they breath.
