Well, Trump seems to be wising up at last. Professional "journalists" have been baiting him ever since he became successful in his campaign. (They're not really journalists, but rather propagandists for Hillary and the Progressive Movement) The best thing he can do is walk away. No matter what he says and does, they will (like you) interpret it to his disadvantage to maintain your narrative.

Maj John Bell Token or otherwise, he still did it and he did what you said when he countered bias he "anticipated their bias, prepared for it, and responded."

SSG Michael Hartsfield - That completes your misunderstanding of the difference between commentators and journalists. It's no wonder that you are wandering so far afield from rational thought.

Once again Good Captain, you are attempting to make swipes at me without addressing that these "commentators" didn't cut Obama any breaks, were his harshest critics, and oft times attributed things to Obama that he wasn't responsible for but you are right. You mentioning my not knowing the difference between commentators and journalists is much more concerning.

SSG Michael Hartsfield - Fair enough. I will give the Democrats this. I think Bill Clinton gets a lot of credit for what Newt Gingrich and his new deal for America brought about, but slick willie has a certain charm. Even though his personal conduct in office embarrassed me, I can't bring myself to hate the guy.
To President Obama's credit, I wouldn't sit down at a chess board or a poker table with him. (unless I was Iranian). Not even if we were betting Fritos and Cheetos. Although I don't see the charm everyone credits him with.
To Secretary Clinton's credit, I would trust her to be my attorney and get me off scot free if I was caught on camera killing puppies with a blowtorch on the 50 yard line during the Super bowl. But I would be afraid to make a payment on my legal fees 5 seconds late.

Actually she did, on the same night. She was asked about the Project Veritas videos and she shut down the interview and walked off.

If he was smart, he would have anticipated the question, prepared for it, and responded.
I don't want to engage in a tit for tat discussion, but neither of these candidates is without fault when it comes to engaging the press.
If I travel overseas I think I'll claim I'm Canadian. Or is that "stolen lack of embarrassment"?

But BOTH candidates are not treated equally by the US press. If they were treated the same i'd cheer! Right now Wikileaks has more credibility than the US media...

Sgt Wayne Wood - I understand what you're saying, but at this point it is like complaining that water is wet. Anticipate their bias, prepare for it, and respond. There isn't any other choice.

Maj John Bell - As with any defense, you prepare for what MAY happen. Unfortunately, if that was 100% effective then there would never be a successful offense against a prepared position. Pardon the military analogy, but thus IS RP! :-)

Sgt Wayne Wood - I expect nothing less. I am wary of any decision I make that doesn't use "military" style strategizing.
