Very true. That's why I was skeptical to begin with because I wondered what all was offered in the deal to keep the initial 1,000. Just because those 1,000 were saved, what did the company have to give up or what government subsidy did they accept to force their hand in another sector of the company. Doesn't have to be doom and gloom but the President elect is a businessman who did these kinds of deals before ever being elected.

The subsidy is from the State of Indiana not the Federal Government. Earlier, then Gov Pence attempted to incentivize the company to stay but he was not on the winning ticket back then so they ignored him. After the election Trump twisted arms and they accepted the same deal offered earlier. The other jobs lost are with United Technologies not Carrier.....media has it wrong, either accidently or deliberately.

And there is also a C, D , E , F, G etc when dealing with any problem.
And when dealing with politicos no good deed share ever go without criticism.
But, the real measure here is - nothing. Ant number beats nothing. !000, or 800, or 300, (I have seen each figure posted) people DID NOT lose there job.
Spin as you will I still see this as a good thing and I am very sure those 1000 do also.
