Veterans' Day was established to specifically honor the living who once served in the military.
Memorial (Decoration) Day was set aside to remember the military's fallen in battle and non-combat deceased who formerly served.
Armed Forces' Day salutes those who are currently serving, whether Active, Reserves, or Guard.
Just an FYI.
(Actually, all three should be celebrated every day, IMHO.)
