An extensive Russian digital spying effort that targeted at least five federal agencies was made public earlier this week. The affected agencies include the Department of Homeland Security and the State Department. According to The New York Times, American officials only became aware of the breach when a private security firm raised it in recent weeks. The Russian hack came as about 18,000 users, both governmental and private, downloaded a compromised software update by the company SolarWinds.
The Russian Embassy in Washington called the reports of the hack “baseless.”

SSG Dennis R. again, you have no idea what you’re talking about. This is not the first successful hack into significant government systems. By your logic the Chinese are going to once again have an easy time since they successfully broke into OPM and exfiled millions of personnel files on all of our government employees during the Obama/Biden era. The Russians are apparently going to be able to continue their activities (again by your logic) as they were successful in getting into the DNC as well during the Obama/Biden admin.
Again I will state... We have never been provided with more resources than we have with President Trump. He has enabled us with more capability than we’ve ever had in the past. So did Obama by the way to be fair. However when it came to doing something about Russian hacking he opted not to use similar capabilities and went with sanctions instead. Trump has used both options and continued to do so.
