Glad to see there is no time limit on gratitude. Much to learn from brave men and women! Great and timeless lessons and encouragement to all who face uneven odds.

Donald, my first experience with the mastery of an SF medic was not in Laos but on a the banks of a lake in US. I was a 2LT and knew nothing about anything. We were conducting water borne operations. I saw an SF medic task organize, conduct triage, and provide life saving techniques to a helicopter load of troopers as they fished them out of the water. As I have gotten older and more mature I have often leaned on that day to help in decision making process.
For the record that was the first of many such events. I am not sure how many times I have seen SF medics perform nothing short of miracles. The constant has always been they say they were just doing their job.
