If I were in the market for a new vehicle, and I was told that there is a subscription fee for a heated seats, or anything for that matter, I would walk out of the Dealership and never come back... The most idiotic marketing gimmick going in my view!

That has to be a joke... There is no way I'm paying for a feature that already exists in the car and does not require additional support (like On Star's wireless service) to use it. Not that I intended to buy a BMW, but this certainly helps me to keep it off the list. More of a Jeep kind of guy anyway. On that note, I have noticed Jeep is really getting into the weeds for their features (either to have it or not).

This is the direction of many areas of our lives - unfortunately! Just sit back and tally up all the subscriptions you have on automatic now and compare it to 10 years ago.
Maybe this subscription model covers the eventual replacement needed on heated/ac seats? I know the ac on our 300's front seats is pretty much crapped out after 6 years. So - maybe it includes the upgrade path?
