The world ignored Gaza for many years, giving Hamas time to indoctrinate the citizens, gaining even more followers.
Is there a solution? No one has devised one yet, after 75 years.
Some here call to " remove Hamas in its entirety" How do you do that? This takes me back to the Vietnam War and the problems we had identifying who was the enemy (VC) and who was a loyal South Vietnamese citizen.
It is not like Hamas members are wearing a uniform, of have Hamas tattooed on their forehead. How can they be eliminated without innocent causalities?

They fulfill their charter, which is basically to destroy Israel. They disrupt the recent hard-fought progress towards some kind of "normalization" in the region. They, through their actions, bring down immense harm on the Palestinian people that will be blamed on Israel. And they may well have destroyed themselves in the process.
