I can only account for myself at this moment, as I'm the only example of a man who doesn't cry when crying is justifiable in my area. Like just using this as a example when my dog (A wiener dog) who I've had ever since 2007, and was my first ever dog died I didn't cry, because my brain found a reason why not to. (That being he died before he experienced eye sight loss) I still feel the pain of the loss, but for me I've gone through many physiological trauma's that it prevents me from crying because instead of going into a depressed state I go into a numb state.
I find being numb is alot better than being depressed because when your numb you at least can look for happiness, when your depressed you refuse to look for it.

I'd like you to consider that your behavior is not normal and be something from early childhood. Check this out and let me know if you want to talk:

Well I know it's not normal, but that's because normal is subjective from person to person, because I'm pretty sure a serial killer says that his behavior is normal in his mind. As collective we'd say that he's wrong, but for me I think normal is reliant upon what we deem as insane, but thing is insane is reliant upon what we deem as normal. It's all subjective.
I personally don't care about how people act as long as they don't A: Hurt anyone else (Innocents) or B: Hurt themselves. As long as you don't do those two things. We all think of those two things at somepoint or another but if you don't act on it you should be good.

It's okay to cry but it's not okay to drink and do drugs to try to get rid of the pain because it will get you even more messed up. Go to Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings and some of them are held by veterans. Better to discuss your pain and to be silly and kill yourself like my sister did two years ago in July of 2015. She had issues with relationship that was going bad domestic violence and she drank a lot and took a lot of painkillers and she still had guilt about having an abortion when she was younger because of her abortion she had a hysterectomy and couldn't have kids period every day was going to the bar and grill and drinking. Don't be like her and seek help.

Well said. Sorry about your sister.
Perhaps you and your family could benefit from knowing about RBCR. Here's a white paper on what we are doing for Veterans and their families.
