Seen discussions on this subject before somewhere. Think it would be impossible to run any government as if it were a company. Too many intangibles that probably bring nothing to the bottom line but must be addressed by government. Think things like natural disasters, disease control, even military that just don't fit into a corporate business plan.

We couldn't do that otherwise our nation wpuld only focus on the bottom line not what is morally right we would have had no Marshall plan or the rebuilding of nations after WW2 like Japan Italy and Germany because it would not have been profitable.
