Joe, THANK YOU. SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
I am very happy with my 100% rating; which, by the way, started at 44%.
I pray for others, who did not receive a merciful rating to begin with. I do pray that they win their appeals.
AFTER I received my 100% rating, I was dead-sick; for twenty-seven years....emotionally, mentally, spiritually....
I am so very much better; and thriving now. I consider myself to be- not only a survivor; but a victor.
Happy Regards, Joe- Margaret

I started at 40% and now am at 60%. I am happy with my rating, but that doesn't mean I won't file for a revaluation if I feel it needs it.

Sergeant Major SGM Mikel Dawson, if you aren't happy with your rating later on (which I Think is what you mean), I Fully support you in filing for a revaluation, if you feel it needs it.
I am Highly impressed with you, Sir. Congratulations on achieving the rank that you have achieved; despite your disability(disabilities).

SPC Margaret Higgins - Oh, I am happy. I just received the rating last month. It timed right with my retirement pay, so now I am over 50% so will receive my full retirement(paying taxes on), plus my 60% (no taxes). When I first started drawing my retirement, I was at 40%, so my retirement pay was lowered, now I will get my full retirement pay - Yea, I'm as happy as a hog in a wallow!
But I won't close out here, IF I need a re-eval, yes I will file for it. So I will not just be satisfied if I feel I deserve another rating.

Oh, Sergeant Major! SGM Mikel Dawson I am so very elated for you!
And, Sergeant Major, I Love it: "I'm as happy as a hog in a wallow!" That is SO Cute!
And, absolutely, I would do exactly the same thing as you say that you might do: File for another rating- If I felt I deserved another one.
-Kindest Regards, Margaret

Good information. I know I've had my cousin help me, but she has worded many years as a claims volunteer helping POWs with their claims, so she knew the ins and outs of the matter. She showed me how to write up a claim and expressed what areas needed to be addressed. I've done very well with her advice, without it I know I wouldn't have done so well. Getting someone who really knows the system and how to word a claim is very important, just as important as having all your proof at hand.
