Kids are amazing because they are so resilient. My wife and I have just recently entered the foster parenting system. The first boy that we fostered has been with us for a year and we just adopted him in February of this year. He was 15 when he came to us and had been in the system for 6 years, had heard several times that he was going to be adopted, and then rejected for the particular differences (his unicornisms) but still was willing to trust and love us as if it was his first time going through the process. We have just recently been blessed with an 11 year old girl, she has been in foster care for 2 years, just found out this last Tuesday that her parental rights had been terminated, and sat my wife and I down to discuss the steps we had to take to adopt her. If we just give them a chance and listen to them we could learn so much.

Very interesting young lady, my hat is off to her for her great view.
