That is a funny idea considering the old army dates back to 1776 SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Just talking with WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans you will get at least as many perspectives as their are veterans:-)
Each of us is unique and has our own perspective on military service which has commonality with other veterans but also unique points.

LTC Stephen F. thank you for the astute response that defines "own perspective on military service which has commonality with other veterans but also unique points." Well said and articulately conveyed. I am out of votes, got you covered tomorrow. "Rest Assured"

Funny article. My favorite line: "The Army: A Study In Dick Measuring Over Nearly Three Centuries" While I agree that the Military has become a little to PC for my taste. The bravery and heroism displayed during the Afghanistan and Iraq campaigns without a doubt shows that todays military is in no way inferior to any other time period. Granted we have to use the carrot instead of the stick most of the time in regards to training our personnel. When called upon to perform we still remain the worlds best. Its just funny that most of the people that would provide comments for this article are probably the ones that were discharged or ETS'd after one term. That's like getting a recommendation from your ex-wife...lol
