I have an unpleasant and unpopular theory... most ALL of what's going on is "wokefishing" of one variety, or another.
I'm happily married to a younger, deeply conservative, infinitely practical woman... so whether or not the waitress at my favorite restaurant agrees with me or not on politics and religions is immaterial. Likewise, my views align relatively closely with the majority of my neighbors, family, and friends. I'm not worried about my business being given "bad reviews" because I'm a "right winger", or losing my job because I voted for Trump. My child is still very young, and there's little chance he's going to "disown" me because I don't support the idea that the USA was built and is run on systemic racism.
I realize I'm not in the majority.
I could always be wrong... but what I see are masses of relatively young people who, during that time in all our lives where we seem most "insignificant"... have suddenly found "significance" by "resisting". That would probably not have gone quite so far to date were it not for armies of corporate profiteers, politicians, and die-hard counter culture activists who've supported, encouraged, and rewarded this mentality.
It would be nice if everyone could settle down, recognize how GOOD we have it in the "First World", and focus on getting back to some form of "stability"... but I fear there's just too much money and power at stake for the inertia to be overcome.

Personally I think a wokefish is a conservative throwing out all kinds different insane topics to screen the real issue of what happened on Jan 6. But that's just me.
