Sometimes it's what's inside. Sometimes the decanter. Often both. I can't fathom wealth that allows someone to have their daily dram come from a case of 1926 Macallan at $75,000 bottle. If you've got it flaunt it, I guess. Many cognac lovers don't bat an eye at $2400 per bottle for Remy Martin XIII. I rarely drink spirits at all, but do like some of the better bourbons such as Woodford's. I've read about Pappy Van Winkles but have never had any. I tried Johnny Blue in Dubai as a treat. It was at the Seaman's Club for $ 5 a shot, so I gave it a dance. Macallan 15 is not bad for the price. Bushmill's or Jameson's are good Irish for the price. I don't have the nose or palate (or wallet) for the expensive stuff. Thanks for sharing.
