What New Marine Corps Recruits Go Through In Boot Camp (British Marine Reacts)

Ah, Gen Dit Commando. I’ve had the pleasure of watching some of his videos (and of course hearing many fan boys of the Royal Marines). I’ve enjoyed his videos, but the one thing that has me stumped so far is that many Brits have stated that they’re training is far harder than the Basic. I will concede that their PT standards are incredible, but where does that set them in capabilities? While many Brits laud their Royal Marines (to a bit of an annoying level) for being MARSOC/SEAL-level (tier 2 level and a claim that I do question), a couple marine friends of mine and I have come to our own conclusion that they would most likely sit somewhere at the same level as Battalion Recon Marines (tier 3 level). My marine friends have stated that they both had approximately the same attrition level. Does anyone know of any similarities between the two types of units and whether or not their capabilities can match?
