I am not fond of most news media CMSgt (Join to see), but this particular report is one of the better ones that I have seen... At least it provides some balance between all the hate that has been projected by the left at the sitting President and Commander In Chief... Thank you for Posting! Have a great evening...

What progressives really need to know is that if they nominate one of the candidates that thinks Medicare for All, Green New Deal, or Universal Basic Income (and to a lesser extent, some of the other issues) is a great idea, they will get another four years of this guy.
You thought they were screaming at the sky in 2016? You ain't seen nothing yet.

Point #2 about him not existing in a vacuum is both the most important and most damning. And will be the most ignored by progressives.
Had Dems run just about anyone OTHER than Hillary, Trump would not be President. He is, honestly, a HORRIBLE choice. But when compared to a lot of current and former options, he starts looking better and better.

I agree running against Hillary certainly helped Trump, but what other viable candidate could the dems offer in 2016? Unlike with the republicans, the number of democrats running wasn't significant this time around. Sanders isn't even a democrat and the other candidates (Chafee, O'Malley and Webb) never gained any popularity comparable to Hillary and Sanders.
If things went differently, and Sanders was put up against Trump, I think Trump would've still won. I don't think Sanders' platform would resonate with the moderates and independents like Trump's platform did. Also, I think Trump did a far better job connecting with the typical John and Jane Doe voters, unlike Sanders who said white people don't know what it's like to be poor. Comments like that clearly demonstrate how out-of-touch Sanders is.

Political writers, analysts, etc. focus on the rabid Trump voters - the ones who will vote Trump even if they personally watch him grope their spouse while giving Putin our nuclear codes. But I have spoken to quite a few who held their nose while voting for him simply because they couldn't make themselves vote for Hillary. I do not know how many of them would have voted for Bernie - and I am sure there are some who held their nose and voted for Hillary who would not have been able to do so for Bernie. But I do know(read: strongly believe) that if the Dems can find a candidate that voters don't have to hold their nose while voting, Trump doesn't stand much of a chance.
For the record: I am not a Dem - I voted Johnson.
