In retrospect the command climate I espoused free of discrimination was made easier by having a diversified chain of command. One of the aspects that I found commanding endearing was creating the culture that encompasses how we treat each other, how we operate, and the responsibilities for everyone. The culture is the foundation from which you build upon. I took it a step further. I thought of ways to incorporate some fun into soldiers' careers.
