This is a great example of a book that adds Value to the lives of Service Members and Veterans and their children. I bought a similar book and my son (1st grade) wrote a short book report on it.

"Tuesday Tucks Me In," by Luis Montalavan. He discusses what PTSD is and how Tuesday (his service dog) helps him. Tuesday saved his life by helping him physically and emotionally. I heard him speak in person and met Tuesday, and Luis and Tuesday signed the adult and kids book! Yes it was a paw print!

As a military brat in the late 60's and early 70's, my dad came home with extensive physical wounds but the wounds of the mind are the hardest to detect and treat.
For my Father, part of the mental wounds was the guilt he carried over "his boy's" dyeing and being wounded during a later Tet offensive. No one tells you when you take command of a combat unit that each death will weigh heavily on your soul and physic.
So as a teenager, I was completely lost as to what my Father was going through. Something like this would have been helpful, particularly since I would have been the one reading it to my younger brothers.
