I know it has been sveral years, but what were the second and third order affects of this? Does anyone out there in the RP membership have any information they can share with the group or veterans that have been affected by this?

What is the Government going to do to fix this for veterans?

Scott Davis, a program specialist at the VA enrollment center in Atlanta, says 34,000 veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan lost their eligibility for healthcare after the VA sat on their applications until they expired. The applications were designated as pending because they lacked income information. However, combat veterans are not required to verify their income when applying for VA benefits. Mr. Davis' testimony before the House Committee on Veterans Affairs on July 8, 2014 is available on the House Committee on Veterans Affairs website. Mr. Davis filed for whistleblower protection in January 2014.
