Actually the companies that manufacture the voting machines have been investigated and the software has been checked, multiple times and at multiple levels. That is one of the jobs of the Election Assistance Commission. The Obama Administration had been trying to sideline it for a long time and Trump may give it a killing blow because Congress also tries to degrade the organization.
The EAC is probably the only thing that stood between the Russians or anyone else from truly hacking the election. Though it can not stop Voter Fraud which is a completely different matter altogether. The problem with making sure that the US Elections are fully legitimate are the people in the cogs, they are the ones that can stop it (if allowed) or allow it to continue (by hook or by crook (legalized fraudulent legitimacy through the courts)). Election day antics on and around election day at the polling place needs to be properly prosecuted also. And a lid needs to be clamped down on this early voting crap that allows some to illegally vote.

The NSA document says Russian military intelligence first targeted employees of a Florida voting systems supplier in August. Apparently exploiting technical data obtained in that operation, the cyber spies later sent phishing emails to more than 100 local U.S. election officials just days ahead of the Nov. 8 vote, intent on stealing their login credentials and breaking into the their systems, the document says.

SGT (Join to see) - Thanks. Funny that I have not heard that or it being replayed by the MSM. To be honest I don't understand how a pishing attempt get to changing an electronic vote on a machine that is not connect to the internet.

They could get all kinds of info if they had secured passwords from the supervisors of the board of elections including voter registration and SSN's. I believe that those interferences with that kind of data would be an attempt to de-legitimize our faith in our electoral process.

SGT (Join to see) - What you are describing here is not Election Fraud but Voter Registration Fraud, which by the way is something that the Democratic Party does not want to have delved into. That is another reason why they do not like Voter ID laws and try to nullify them as quickly as they can if possible.
