People are quick to take offense because they have been taught to be squeamish about words. What ever happened to the phrase, "Sticks and stones..." If a word can shape a person's life in a negative manner, the problem isn't the word, it's the person. Banning words is tantamount to burning books. The left has gone way too far on this PC bullshit.

No, you must educate. A good guitarist must build callouses to play, people have to build those mental callouses, because life isn't fare and people will always be people. Bullies need to be dealt with in the same way and the only way to stop bullying is to make examples of them. It's time for the judges to stop giving leniency to those that torment others because they had a rough childhood or they are just plane mean people. There is a huge difference in bullying and the occasional ribbing. Grow some thicker skin, it is more beneficial to gain wisdom.

Cpl (Join to see) - SSgt Terry P. Personally, I believe that we should be just like Israel and unless you are in school full time or handicapped, once you turn 18 it's required and mandatory to do two years in the Military.... MOST Americans Do NOT have a clue.

I have been not actually wanting to vote for either one, but the 'deplorable' and the 'irredeemable' remarks by Clinton has made up my mind. I have friends that are voting either side of the ticket, but her statements have gone way beyond the pale, and I have finally made up my mind.

Offensive? On her part? To state that good, hard working Americans that will be using their Constitutional right to vote for whom they please are deplorable and irredeemable, goes against everything that I have learned about the rights of the citizens of the USA.

Her apologizing for saying that is just a sop thrown out, to show what a magnanimous person she is.

I am pretty on the level with not taking offense. However, this time, yes, I am enraged.

Does it bother you the things that Trump has said? I'm a woman, college educated and part of a population who finds him unable to listen or apologize. She has definitely said so thoughtless things, but they are both ramping up and her supporters do feel that many in his base represent a white supremacist base. I agree that they (white supremacists) are deplorable. I also think the Black panthers and other hate groups are deplorable. So, I can see some being offended.

By Trump making some of his statements, I find him to be totally non political, to the extreme. By Clinton making that statement is completely puzzling. If he were to become the POTUS, this country will probably be led from behind the scenes by people that are far more politically savvy, than him. If the forgetful, falling at some bad times (which are known about, not to mention how many times unknown about by the public) and health problem ridden Clinton makes office, I fear for the common man.

Hmmm. A braggadocio. Or a person that seems to think that by forgetting conveniently some key parts of her political career? Or maybe she really DOES have some very alarming memory lapses?

I personally would like to see Trump in office, because then he would have someone photoshopping him winning fistfights with Putin, riding on a Grizzly bear's back, and finding unfound treasure under the sea, and so on.

Take that, Putin!!!

And I would gladly vote for a woman. Just not for Clinton. If she finds that voters are deplorable and irredeemable, just because they won't vote for her, but for Trump, what could be the follow on, if she is elected?

Her way of speaking being more to the likes of some people, but when she gets angry, her true thoughts come out. Trump? There is no doubt about how he feels.

At least the devil we know, rather than the devil that we don't know.

And those are my thoughts, only.

Cpl George Crab Col Rebecca Lorraine I have many friends who are democrats and were planning on voting for Hillary and some of them just didn't know yet who they would vote for and many of them are not voting for her after her comments...and NO...she DID NOT APOLOGIZE...all she said was she regretted her statement and should not have said "HALF." what kind of apology is that??? NOT one at all...she should have addressed ALL AMERICANS and apologized for her comments and SPECIFICALLY say what she said and say she truly regrets these words and that she is ASHAMED for have said them. UGH!
Col Lorraine...yes, Trump has said a lot of things, especially early on in his campaign and I truly detest TRUMP....I have not decided whether to cast my vote or just not vote at all,.....but, I would rather see TRUMP than Hillary in office.

Sorry, it is an in depth analysis of human behavior. I think it is interesting to wonder at the reactions people have to comments or behavior. Why do some react intensely taking everything personally and why do some consider the reason for the behavior. The "fundamental attribution error" is how often we misinterpret what people do or say.
