Damn straight. Very fun plinker at the Range with little recoil and with bulk ammo internet sales, cheap to shoot and easy to clean. Its not hard to understand why the Ar-15 and all of its many variations and customization possibilities and almost endless supplies of parts to fix and maintain your AR-15 is the hotest rifle if not the firearm in the US today , based upon sales. The aftermarket parts market for AR-15 parts is a separate and related phenomena in and of itself.

I bought one because I trained, practiced, maintained and carried an M-16. It's just simple familiarity... carry one 24/7 for 9 months and it's just comfortable, familiar. I've thought about getting a Saiga 12 to round out my three gun collection, but I don't know anything about the platform, so I wait.

I have two LE Colt 6920 and one Mini Draco. Among other various weapons for different purposes. Never an issue with these three I mentioned. 762x39 ammo is more expensive for brass but it's a beast

One thing I've realized about any gun debate. Liberals have lost their ever lovin' mind on the subject.
Forget about the 2nd Amendment and the possible implications (defense of Nation, or defense against tyranny from within).
Forget about actual statistics (better chance of getting killed by obesity, auto accident, or medical error).
Forget that it would be impossible to enforce a law that would ask for guns to be turned in (there's a lot of "pry it from my cold dead hands" mentality).
Forget that every mass shooting perpetrated by someone with a gun is stopped by someone with a gun.
All those are valid points, but what bugs me is that every time a Liberal says "gun control" a couple hundred thousand more guns are sold, frequently to someone who never had more than a passing interest in guns and has no training in the safe operation of firearms. Their argument is a self fulfilling prophecy. They've lost their ever lovin' mind.
