Lots of interesting information and his perspective and opinion resonate with me. However, there is a difference between an 18 year old Private claiming the military is headed in the wrong direction to his commanding officer through social media, and senior enlisted and officers being able to voice concern. It is a unique role the military plays in American history. Veterans have the ability to honestly comment with out to much fear of career reprisal, but do we have all the facts to justify and substantiate our opinions? I have certainly found my voice post retirement, but it is an opinion based on personal experience. I recognize the limits of my importance.
