Why The U.S. Census Starts In Alaska's Most Remote, Rural Villages

Because we (Alaska) are so sparsely populated, every person counts. So getting a jump on the count, before the rivers thaw and people go fishing and hunting, make sense. I believe in the idea that every vote and every person counts.
