Why UK don't buy Gripen Fighter-Jet if it's better than F-35?

This Underdog may actually have some good points for a country which can't afford stealth technology but yet wants a good fighter plane. I read somewhere this plane does not use Link 16? Canada may have this plane compete against other planes in the near future. Canada decided not to get the F-35 due to its cost. The eurofighter, This Plane and the F18 Super Hornet will be evaluated in the future. The Canadian government has not decided yet.
