Read the article and view the chart comparison from the census bureau from 1960 and 2010. a HUGE difference...how is this fair to other countries....all of the folks who come over here from countries all around the world, yet...over 90% of the foreigners living in the US are from Mexico or some other Hispanic countries.
DO NOT MISTAKE ME for being Racist or Prejudice...I am not in the least either of these...but, I am for doing things by the LAW....I am all for LEGAL IMMIGRATION....but people from all other countries don't stand a chance....
Our country is changing...Life, the world in general is always changing....but enough is enough.
STOP with the DAMNED POLITICS and start with doing it the right way for the right reasons...
Democrats are having a FIT because the question ARE YOU A US CITIZEN is being put back into the census questionnaire. The State Attorney of California is filing a Law Suit against Trump and the Census Bureau and the United States because he says it is ILLEGAL to ask if you are a citizen of the US.
So, let me get this straight. The census bureau takes a Census of US CITIZENS every ten years so we know how many LEGAL residents there are in the US and where they live....and this determines how many congressional seats there will be for any given state...and how much money the US Government will give to that state...but OH MY GOD...if ILLEGAL ALIENS STOP filling out these Census questionairres....this might take away a few democratic congressional seats...which they PROBABLY SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD in the first place...and the State would not receive as much Federal funding as they may have been receiving ILLEGALLY....Do I HAVE THIS RIGHT?!?!?! Yep, I do...so what's going on here??? IT IS PURELY POLITICAL....IT IS ILLEGAL.... WHAT HAPPENED TO DOING THIS the RIGHT and LEGAL way?
by the way...this ONE question has been on the Census Bureaus questionnaire for over 50 years....OBAMA TOOK it off in the 2010 Census intake. What does that tell you?
I think that's just a bunch of BOLOGNA...the lower response will be because ILLEGAL people from wherever they come from may or may not fill it out...they can still fill it out and lie on the form...Also....CITIZENSHIP is perfectly legal since THIS CENSUS FORM is ONLY TO DETERMINE how many US CITIZENS there are and NOT ILLEGAL ALIENS...the determination is for the SOLE purpose of Boundaries...for Dem/Rep....for Federal support...how much money they will get...and HOW many Congressional seats for that state...the more that fill it out...the more congressional seats in congress...the people who fill it out....the more money from the federal government they receive...IT IS SO UNLAWFUL!! IT IS CHEATING THE SYSTEM. The democrats are giving all of these BOLOGNA reason...trying to convince most who are clueless that this is bad and they'll never know the difference because they believe the LYING POLITICIANS...whose bottom line is MONEY MONEY MONEY! and POWE$R POWER POWR. It's purely Political when it should be PURELY OUT OF CONCERN for US ITZENS and government assistance/help. OH MY GOF...I'm so sick of this on sense..

•Free White males of 16 years and upward (to assess the country's industrial and military potential)
•Free White males under 16 years
•Free White females
•All other free persons
•Slaves
Every 10 years, The Census changed...who can fill it out...what the questions were...many changes were made...then in 1950 huge changes were made.
The 1950 census encompassed the continental United States, the territories of Alaska and Hawaii, American Samoa, the Canal Zone, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands of the United States, and some of the smaller island territories. this is the first time the census bureau asked about Citizenship by asking where they were born.
In 1970, two questionnaires were sent out...a long form and a short form. On the long form, the question of Citizenship was added and has been asked every Census until OBAMA took it out in 2010

It’s all about politics, headcount equals representatives. Representatives determine control of the House of Representatives and Speaker of the House, third in the line of succession. This without a single vote by way of the Census.

It's not about politics. Politics is the art of give and take, reaching compromise between people with a common culture and a common goal. This is about dominance. One group wants to dilute our culture with an influx of people who are used to being subservient, who lacking any foundation in our culture, are willing to surrender those things we hold precious in exchange for a vote which they do not value beyond the few dollars or benefits they may receive in exchange. No politics involved in that.

CPT Jack Durish you may be partially correct, but I believe it's all about Politics. Democrats allow and want this because it gets them more votes and power.

Sgt Kelli Mays - To be fair, I perceive Democrats as dupes of the Left and, to be fair, many Republicans have similarly fallen prey to their siren song. Inf effect, the Left pits them against each other to distract attention from their agenda.
