My Daughter-in-Law is a Doctor. The first huge barrier they face in establishing a practice is insurance. 6 months insurance was equal to 10% of her total education debt. I was blown away

And BTW, once per year Medscape posts salaries of all physicians based on their particular fields of experience. In general, specialist earn more; and none earn a million/yr.
I presume that cosmetic surgeons for the rich and famous earn much more.

The complexity of the system (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid, CMS) as established by Congress, limits or caps the # of residencies by specialty, and they increased numbers but not sufficiently. There's a bill. Write/email/phone your congressional representative and Senators!
