With women in combat roles, a federal court rules the male-only draft unconstitutional

I’ve stated before I think now all 18 year olds should be required to register for the draft even illegal aliens living here in the US. If you get to enjoy the fruits of this great country of ours you should be prepared to defend it. Why should only 50% of our population be penalized for failing to register for the draft while the other 50% gets a free pass. If it’s all equal not based on gender then let’s catcjh up with the times folks!

If we ever do have to Draft again, this will be interesting. will females be placed in combat units? Will it be unconstitutional if females can opt out of combat units whereas a male cant.? Seems to me that Males and females should be treated as equals under the constitution. I never believed females should be in combat units. In Vietnam a lot of draftees were placed in infantry units. Yes they should register. The last congress narrowly passed such a measure out of committee, but the republicans killed it. Republicans in the house actually introduced the bill to try and show how bad it would be to draft women, but then when it passed outof committee, they had to kill their own bill.
