OK, I've given solid advice to several females on the site that have asked about joining the Infantry. While I am of the opinion that people should be able to try anything as long as they can make the cut, that does not mean that it's smart. I added some real world advice the last time that no one wants to talk about, but here is some extra I would tell them if they were my daughter or that of a friends. No matter how PC everyone wants to be, there are real and significant differences in the physiology of men and women that put women at significantly more risk of serious and permanent injuries than their male counterparts. The Infantry world is full of guys who were injured and medically discharged and even those of us that didn't have a debilitating injury paid the price physically. Think of Rhonda Rousey getting into the ring with Connor McGregor. My advice is find a different MOS. However, if you accept that you need to score 80 percent on the men's APFT, need to put up with (and dish out) the language and attitude, and accept that the fact your chances of injury are significantly higher, go for it.

Just wonder how this will work out when deployed or on maneuvers.
She is gonna have to share her shelter half with someone.
