We here at RP have wrestled with this subject backwards and forwards. Flame Wars have happened. Inappropriate language has been back and forth. But, here it is again. Only this time it's an article about the women accepting the combat role and moving on. So, there should not be a debate about the women in combat. This article is interesting and describes the negative actions that have happened since this was first discussed. It's a done deal,now, so any complaining is a moot subject. I mean it doesn't matter we think. It is what it is.

With the decision by Defense Secretary Ashton Carter to allow the rest of the military jobs formerly closed to women now open, this marks yet another historic move by our military in the right direction.
In a time when we now fight asymmetric warfare we need an asymmetric military. The mood of discontent in the military with this decision is already tangible and at the same time is a disgrace.

I'm disappointed with the decision, but I completely agree SGT (Join to see). Drink water and drive on. Treat females with respect.

Change and adapting to change is a strength in guerrilla warfare and women have demonstrated throughout the wars that no matter what obstructions men put before them the women overcame them; now men need to adapt.
