I usually traveled with Nato Orders (Even on Vacation) or just my Military ID but I did have a Passport for a While that I got at the US Embassy in London. Bad Thing it had punched holes that was usually reserved for Embassy Staff Passports. Might as well have had a Document that says "Terrorist Please Kill Me or Kidnap Me, I'm Important". I guess it was no worse than my Get Out of Jail Free Card Though (DIA Courier Card).

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel It's nice to have options other than Military ID and Orders don't you think?

Do you know about the Passport Card? It doesn't work the same as a passport but it's helpful to have. The U.S. Passport Card can be used to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land border crossings or sea ports-of-entry.

Yes I knew about it but I traveled so much out of the country I have the Global Entry Program. That allows me to pass thru Customs differently.
