Lt Col Charlie Brown I wouldn't be surprised if over a quarter of the waste in landfills is plastic. They had a recycling program here in my county but every time I went there to recycle milk jugs, soda bottles etc it was full so the gate keepers just said to put it in the regular trash.

makes me think we should revert back to the 50's and early 60's. Everything was glass and reuseable. There was a deposit and on return so was the deposit. I don't think there was anything my mother threw away. Most was repurposed and any food scraps went to the dog ,cats or hogs. My life style today and full garbage can goes to my own landfill and reduced to ashes. Teo old people are creating more garbage than their parents and its all non reusable packaging plus FedEx and UPS packages.
