Would California-style gun laws have helped stop Florida school shooting?

Highly doubt it.

That's a new one... A magazine release is now a "bullet button." And someone propose doing away with them in favor of requiring firearms to be engineered so that a that you must have a separate tool to remove the magazine and place a new one. Shaking my head.

There is a Florida State Statute that makes the premeditated murder of another illegal and that did not prevent the psycho from killing. California has a law just like it. So having a California style gun law in Florida wouldn't have worked either.
