I post this history to give an idea of what the Allied Forces was up against. The Atlantic Wall was not properly fortified with man power. It was a speed bump for the Allies. Yes we lost many, but many more went through that wall and destroyed Hitler's Reich. The Greatest Generation kicked some serious ass.
