Great movie. The book "Spycatcher" by Peter Wright exposes a lot of it. The reason a lot of it is still to this day unknown is that Britain's problems were many. Simple/blatant racism caused the Singapore defeat. Japan could have read the British daily reports and still lost the battle, had more competent leaders been in place.
