That is a special kind of brave!

What an amazing story. I love history and these kind of stories. But I have never understood why spent years fighting the Germans for invading half of Europe, and we liberated about half of Europe. Then left the Russians to keep the part they liberated. We should have listened to Patton rearmed the Germans and continued on to Moscow. Or we should have let the Germans and the Russians wipe each other out and fought who was left. while going to Moscow. Either way the world would have been a different and better place today. 50 years of Cold War nonsense, for nothing.
