PO1 John Crafton Unfortunately, there are a few who did cross that threshold and we see them spewing their SJW claptrap on this site.

I distinctly remember when my elementary school got a new set playground equipment for the 5th and 6th graders. Several Dad's showed up to help install the equipment. One of the things they did was to jackhammer out the concrete pad that used to be the "floor" for the playground equipment. The school wanted a big curb of sand poured about 10 feet out from all the equipment and then the equipment would have about a foot of sand as a "floor".

My Dad "guffawed" at that plan. When the Principal explained that it was to prevent injuries, Dad said "A good grip prevents injuries. Falls teach you to have a good grip." All the Dads laughed and agreed. Dad probably picked me up and dropped me on my head to make his point :) Well maybe not, I can't remember.

With respect, Captain, this does not represent all members of my generation. I speak for the small percentage of young men and women like minded in gratitude for this great country.
We will stand ready to fight and die for the country that's given us so much.

I weep for the future... not because of the election... I can not fathom this kind of childishness making grown up decisions.

I remember when I was in college and I was about to be homeless. I told my professor to his face "Sorry, I'm not blowing off your assignment, but tomorrow I'll be living in my car". I'm ok with failing the assignment. Even with the zero I'll still pass with a B- average."

I was going through a rough patch but I took ownership of my life. I didn't whine for a better grade or to be excused. I just spoke to him man to man that there was stuff going on in my life more important than a homework assignment and I would accept the consequences.

What parents are raising these grown children... because I hesitate to call them adults.

The entitlement and weakness you're referring to runs rampant among my generation, but there are more strong individuals than it seems. They just happen to be the quieter ones, working hard instead of bitching and moaning.
It certainly sucks, but all is not lost.
